Services for Bernard K. Henry, Sr., age 88, of Dublin, will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 10, 2016, at Dexter United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Danny "Sam" Collins, Dr. Joel Dent, Rev. Wes Moye, and Dr. Rick Lanford will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Mr. Henry died Friday, May 6, 2016.

Mr. Henry began his ministry as the pastor of the Lincoln County Circuit of Methodist Churches in 1951. He served Dexter United Methodist Church from 1990 until 2015.

Throughout his life, he tried every day to serve God as best he could and to minister to those around him.

Mr. Henry was preceded in death by his parents and daughter Tina H. Deloach.

Survivors include his wife, Lois T. Henry, of Dublin; son, B. Keith (Sarah) Henry, Jr. and grandchildren, Kaylee and Spencer Henry of Alpharetta; and grandchild, Melissa D. (Christopher) Black and great grandchildren, Alexis, Ethan, and Natalie Black of Newman.

The men of the churches will serve as pallbearers.

Memorial contributions may be made to Dexter United Methodist Church or to Pine Forest United Methodist Church.
