Obituary

Betty Grace Baggett Evans, known lovingly to family and friends as Grace, passed away on July 27, 2026, in Dublin, Georgia, at the age of 82.

Born on December 20, 1943, in Dublin, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Roy and Lantie Warren. Preceded in death by her husband of fifty years Larry Evans, Grace was also preceded in death by her brothers, Thurston Baggett, Edwin Baggett, Gurshen Baggett, and Johnny Baggett, as well as her sister, Francis Coleman.

Grace attended Dublin High School and carried the values of hard work and responsibility throughout her life. She retired from Allen Bradley after years of dedicated service, and she also worked for the Courier Herald as a newspaper carrier for 15 years. Her strong work ethic and dependable nature were evident in everything she did, and she was respected by those who knew her through her work and daily life.

Above all else, Grace was a devoted Christian and a faithful member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Her faith was an important part of her life and gave her strength, comfort, and guidance through the years. She lived her beliefs through her actions, showing love, patience, and kindness to others. Grace was known as a loving and kind woman, and those qualities were reflected in the way she cared for her family and welcomed others into her life.

Grace was the greatest mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and she took immense joy in her children and grandchildren. She loved children dearly and found happiness in the simple, meaningful moments spent with family. She is survived by her son, Tony Evans of Rentz, GA; her daughter, Twila Foskey and her husband Jimmy of Rentz, GA; her granddaughter, TJ Alligood (Bob Breeden) of Montrose, GA; her grandson, Joshua Christopher Alligood (Andrea) of East Dublin, GA; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory.

Grace had requested a private graveside service and memorial contribution to Laurens County CASA 1347 North Jefferson Street Dublin, GA 31021.
