Services for Betty Jean Connell, age 65, of Dublin, will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, October 26, 2010 in the chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Minister Shufrounia Castleberry will officiate. Burial will follow in the Bluewater Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Connell was a homemaker. She was predeceased by her husband, Mitchell Ray Connell, and her father, Bennie Jernigan. Mrs. Connell died Friday, October 22, 2010. Survivors include her daughter, Sherry Connell (Frank) Damate, of Dublin; mother, Minnie Lee Jernigan, of Dublin; sister, Faye Jernigan (David) Corbitt, of Dublin; grandchildren, Frank Anthony Damate, Jr. and Angelica Faith Damate, of Dublin; nephews, Brian Neumans, James Neumans, and Robert Sumner, of Dublin. Family members will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Monday from 4:00pm until 6:00pm at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.
