As a survivor of breast cancer, she volunteered in providing care guidance and counseling to newly-diagnosed patients in the Dublin area. She worked with the Dublin City School System as an elementary school teacher for 22 years. She was a former member of the Dublin Service League. Her passionate love for Jesus Christ was unyielding.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Randall Farmer.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Don Vinson of Dublin; son, James "Donnie" Vinson Jr. (Dee) of Bogart; daughter, Laurie Vinson Fason (John) of Dublin; son, Mike Vinson (Sandy) of Lizella; grandchildren Stacey Blackwell (Brian), Jay Vinson (Hannah), Kelly Ballard (Matt), Wil Fason (Babbs), Benjamin Vinson, and Caroline Vinson; great-grandchildren, Levi Blackwell, James Vinson IV, Natalie Ballard, Maddie Ballard, Hatcher Fason, Hadley Fason; and sister, Linda Billman (Bruce) of Stafford, VA.
