Betty Ruth Watson Hood, age 87 of Dublin, passed away on Thursday, September 03, 2015. Services will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday, September 6, 2015 at Marie Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Bobby Hutto, Rev. Chandler Pridgen and Rev. Jamie Pridgen will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1:00PM until funeral hour on Sunday at the church. Mrs. Hood was a member of Marie Baptist Church where she was served as a Sunday School teacher, sang in the choir, as well as played the piano and organ. She was a lifetime member of the AT&T Telephone Pioneers Club and a member of the Christian Women's Association. Mrs. Hood was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Ruth Kemp Watson and her husband, Charles Daniel Hood. She is survived by her daughter, Peggy Hood (Bob) Pridgen of Snellville; grandchildren, Chandler Pridgen and Jamie Pridgen; great-grandchildren, Angelina Pridgen, Austin Pridgen, Andrew Pridgen, Noel Pridgen, Noa Pridgen and Nash Pridgen; brother, Jimmy Watson Warner Robins; sister, Pat Linder of Tega Cay, SC; sister-in-law, Ruby Watson; special friend, April Biggins and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Chandler Pridgen, Jamie Pridgen, Chris Marsh, Dale Frost, Will Brewer, Don Watson, Adam Brewer and Mike Linder.
