Betty (Perry)
Jones
May 27, 1928 — Apr 8, 2023
Betty Perry Jones, age 94, went to be with the Lord early Saturday morning, April 8, 2023, due to an injury. She was surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Jones was born in Wilkinson County on May 27, 1928, to the late A. J. Perry and the late Vevie Fordham Perry. For most of her life, she lived in Dublin, Laurens County.
She was faithful to her Lord and Savior and a lifetime member of Evergreen United Methodist Church. After working for 40 years, she retired from J. P. Stevens and Fortsman Company. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to everyone she met. Spending many hours crocheting blankets as gifts for others, she showered her love with her sweet nature, kindred spirit, and humbleness. Having an adventurous spirit, she traveled to almost every US state.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jones is preceded in death by her husband Eben Eugene Jones, Jr., brother Jimmy Perry, sister Jo An Perry Pass, and son Ray Jones. She is survived by her brother Ned Perry, daughter Fay Jones-Jones (Billy) of Dublin, daughter-in-law Jone W. Jones of Dublin, and granddaughters Kelly Jones Fitzpatrick of Athens, Crystal Jones Frazier (Jonathan) of Brunswick, Katie Jones Hopfensperger (Eric) of Statesboro, and Carrie Jones Eubanks (Ian) of Belle Chasse, Louisiana.
Services will be held Wednesday, April, 12, at the chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home in Dublin, Georgia at 3:00 pm with visitation from 2:00-3:00 pm. Interment will follow at Northview Cemetery. Rev. Brett Maddocks of Pine Forest United Methodist Church, Dublin, will officiate.
