Services for Betty Howard Watson, age 75 of Montrose, will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, April 20, 2013 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Dublin Memorial Gardens. Elder Garry Hall, Elder Stephen Dyar and Elder Franklin Bryant will officiate. Mrs. Watson was born in Laurens County to the late J.B. Howard and the late Minnie Lee Smith Howard. She was a member of Bethel Primitive Baptist Church and of the "Sisters of the Heart" cancer group. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Everette "Cooter" Watson and brothers, Rufus Howard and Robinson Howard. Mrs. Watson passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2013. Survivors include her son, Randall Watson of Montrose; daughter, Karen (Rob) Albright of St. Augustine, FL; grandson, Corey Lee of Kathleen; granddaughters, Paige Kitchens and Reily Norton, both of St. Augustine, FL; brothers, Talmadge (Fae) Howard and Marvin (Kathryn) Howard, all of Dudley; sisters-in-law, Grace Howard of Montrose and Annie Rae Howard of Dudley; brother and sister-in-law, Woody and Janice Payne of Dublin and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Wayne Howard, Timmy Howard, Corey Lee, Raymond Watson, Weldon Payne and Bruce Howard. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. They may also be contacted at the Watson residence, 446 Walt Watson Road, Montrose.
