Services for Betty Crisp West, age 73, of East Dublin, will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at Blue Springs Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Ben Edwards will officiate. Mrs.West died Friday, June 14, 2013. Mrs. West was the daughter of the late Rev. Troy H. Crisp, Sr., and the late Mary Mozelle Stewart Crisp. She was a supervisor at Middle Georgia Easter Seals, a member of the Baptist faith and an avid gardener and animal lover. Mrs. West loved her family and enjoyed babysitting for her great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Troy H. Crisp, Jr. and William P. Crisp. Survivors include her children, Sharon Purcell of Atlanta, Stephanie (Jerry) Rowland, Joey Passmore, Lisa (Adam) Hodges, all of East Dublin; brothers and sisters, John R. (Jean) Crisp of Ennis, TX, Etta Crisp (Sid) Guillot of Crosby, TX, Frances (Bruce) Mimbs of East Dublin, James Grady (Debbie) Crisp of Fayetteville, and Fred Vernon Crisp of East Dublin; grandchildren Joel and Chris Purcell, Courtney (Blake) Rogers, Lindsey Rowland, Jordan Rowland, Ashley Hodges and Haley Hodges; great grandchildren, Brennan Cale Rogers, and Mason Kaleb Rogers. Earl Stewart, Kevin Livingston, Stewart Crisp, Richie Sharp, Vickie Thigpen, and Jeff Woodard will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends Monday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.
