Obituary

Billy Fordham, age 78 of Dublin, passed away to his heavenly home on Sunday, June 21, 2015 after a brief illness. Services will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at Poplar Springs North Baptist Church. A private family burial will follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Rusty Stewart will officiate. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 10:00AM until funeral hour at the church. Mr. Fordham graduated from Dudley High School and Georgia Southern College. He retired in 2002 as Executive Vice President of Comcar Industries in the Central Florida area. He was a past member of the Lions Club, Int., Masonic Lodge 910 and Amtralease Association. Billy was an ordained deacon of Poplar Springs North Baptist Church where he was an active member of the choir and adult praise group. He enjoyed a life-long joy of music and singing. For many years, he had the opportunity to perform and spread the Gospel ministry with the Travelers Quartet. He was the most proud of his two sons and daughter. They were the light of his life. Mr. Fordham was preceded in death by his father, Marcus Cevera Fordham; mother, Myrtice Newmans; grandmother, Fonnie Watson and sister, Nancy Fordham. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Fordham of Dublin, GA; sons, Lance Fordham (Kimberly) of Orlando, FL and Rex Fordham (Robyn) of Indialantic, FL; daughter, Valerie Fordham (Jon Boisseau) of Orlando, FL; sisters, Geraldine Johnson (Paul) of Dublin, Pat Wyndham of Alpharetta, GA, Linda Pennington (Woodrow) of Dublin, Elaine Ivey (Harold) of Wrightsville and Peggy Hauvyoak (Harold) of Atlanta; grandsons, Zach, Lucas, and Nathan; brothers-in-law, Rex Bounds (Roberta) of Clark, NJ and Layke Bounds of Ocala, FL and many beloved nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Chuck Johnson, Jon Boisseau, Chris Ivey, Tony Pennington, Patrick Neville and Jim Keck. Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of Poplar Springs North Baptist Church.
