Billy Gene Hendrix, age 92, passed away Monday, February 6, 2023. Mr. Hendrix was born on September 9, 1930 in Rome, Georgia to the late William Monroe Hendrix and late Martha Eunice Yates.

He lived in Marlborough, Massachusetts and worked at Design Pak Corporation for many years before moving to Dublin, Georgia, where he was a machine operator at Farm Muster Gates. He served in the United States Marine Corps from October 19, 1950 to August 20, 1952 where he received the Korean Service Medal.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his four brothers and six sisters; and a son, Danny Gene Hendrix.

Mr. Hendrix is survived by his sister, Patsy Grant of Dublin; his son Billy Hendrix and wife Elizabeth of The Villages Florida; his daughter Sandra Lamy and husband Alan of Marlborough, Massachusetts; his grandchildren, Jessica van Dam, Michelle Lamy, Jenna Brown, Lauren Hendrix, and Sean Hendrix; two great grandchildren, Anya van Dam and Mia Brown; and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Hendrix was a loving brother, father, and grandfather and he will be greatly missed.

Services will be held Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 11am in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home with a graveside service to follow at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Bobby Hutto will officiate.
