Brenda Woody "Ma Bee" Slaughter, age 72, was born May 24, 1948 in Laurens County. She passed away January 22, 2021. Mrs. Slaughter was the daughter of the late Cameron (Grace) Woody and the late Carolyn Woody.  She was retired from Rockwell Automation/ Allen Bradley.  She was a loving mother, Nana, sister, and Aunt.  She was a member of Dexter Assembly of God. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Nancy Woody Steinhauer and nephew Damon Woody.  She loved being Nana to Madison and enjoyed fishing and Nascar.

She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Nikki and Baron Fuqua, granddaughter, Madison, grand cat Bella, brother Rex (Lynda) Woody, sister Beth (John) Lakey, stepbrothers, Wendell (Maxine) Garnto, Sterling (Mary Jane) Garnto, aunt, Levenia McLeod, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Northview Cemetery. Pastor Stephen Beck will officiate. The family may be contacted at 210 Lakeview Drive, Dexter.

Jason Shiver, Jamie Shiver, Jonathan Shiver, Lee Shiver, John Eric Lakey and Brad Sudekum will serve as pallbearers.
