Bruce Sapp, age 64, of East Dublin, passed away on Thursday, February 17, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Sapp was a native of Laurens County and was born on January 6, 1958. He retired from the state prison system and was a family man who enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, and on the lake. He loved to cook, tinker with stuff, and was an animal lover, especially of horses. He was also an avid fan of NASCAR, Atlanta Braves, and the Georgia Bulldogs. Bruce was a prankster by nature and was always telling Jessie tales. One of his greatest joys was found in spending time with his kids and grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Alton Sapp "Papa Bill" and Annette Sapp; brother, Alton Sapp; and nephew, Chuck Thompson.

Survivors include his wife, Skeeter Sapp of East Dublin; daughters: Jennifer Owens (Jason) of Eastman, and Gina Beasley (Josh) of East Dublin; sons: Mitch Justice of East Dublin, and Will Sapp (Elizabeth) of Cochran; grandsons: Ryan Owens of Eastman, Memphis Beasley of East Dublin, and Levi and Dawson Sapp both of Cochran; sister, Faye Thompson (Charles); brother, Ed Sapp (Wanda); mother-in-law, Elaine Bass, and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 19, 2022, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.

Services will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, February 20 ^th at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with a burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Greg Lowery and Deacon Chad Sapp will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Chad Sapp, Chase Sapp, Brad Sapp, Matt Sapp, Josh Beasley, and Raymond Reagen.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Diabetes or Parkinson's foundation of choice.
