Bruce David Snyder, age 78 of Dexter, passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2014. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Dr. Larry Daniel and Joe Thomas will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service in the church social hall. The family requests absolutely no flowers, but instead, contributions be made to a charity of personal choice. Mr. Snyder was a retired United States Army Veteran and a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, George Snyder and mother, Myrtle Mitchell Snyder. Survivors include his wife, Nancy Tipton Snyder of Dexter; children, David Mitchell Snyder of Aiken, SC, Catherine Michelle Snyder Vaughn (Ray) of Buffalo, TX, Rachel Anne Snyder of Talbotton, GA, Julie Young of Prattville, AL, and Stephen Bruce Snyder (Gejay) of Marietta; grandchildren, Mitchell Snyder and Maggie Snyder of Athens, Mercedes Vaughn and Dusty Vaughn of Austin, TX, John David Snyder of Marietta and Kasey Wilkinson of Dublin.
