Services for C. Fred Taylor, Jr., age 75, of Dublin, will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at Poplar Springs North Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Robert Rogers and Rev. James Hughes will officiate.
Mr. Taylor was a native of Laurens County and the son of the late C. Frederick "Baby" Taylor, Sr. and the late Mable Elizabeth Wynn Taylor. He was a member of the U.S. Army Reserves and Poplar Springs North Baptist Church. He retired from Bell South. Mr. Taylor loved his family dearly and will be deeply missed by all who was blessed to have known him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Bobbie Peacock, Jackie Lowery and Gloria McCoy and a brother, David Lamar Taylor. Mr. Taylor passed away on Monday, January 7, 2013.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Ann Lord Taylor of Dublin; three daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie (Louis) Ward, Freddie (Robert) Miles and Terrie (Nicky) Benton; eight grandchildren, Mindy (Brian) Stansfield, Marcey (Jeremy) Wells, Molly (Alex) Hensley, Morgan Miles, Meredith Miles, Ross Miles, Nicole Benton and Cale Benton; six great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Reese, and Philip Stansfield, Graham and Emmett Wells and Baxter Hensley; two sisters, Joan E. Taylor (Glen Register) and Karen (Larry) Haywood and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Eddie Peacock, Bob Peacock, Jimmy Lowery, Michael Wynn, Allen Mathis, Jeff Lord, Clay Lord, Robert Earl Lord, Rusty Branch, Cory Dean, Vernon Garrett, Rusty Fordham, Russ West, Steve Vertin, Chad Mosley and Derek Albritton.
The family will receive friends at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 6:00PM until 8:00PM. Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to Poplar Springs North Baptist Church Building Fund, 289 Hwy 338, Dublin, GA 31021.
