Carey Lynn Maddox, 83, of East Dublin, passed away at his residence on Sunday evening, January 22, 2023. Carey was a native of Laurens County and was born on March 19, 1939, to the late Merlin Maddox and the late Mary Bright Maddox Curl.

Mr. Maddox served in the United States Navy for 10 years. He was a member of Brewton Baptist Church.  He retired from Southern Bell, AT&T after more than 30 years of service. Mr. Maddox was an avid hunter and fisherman.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marijean Watson Maddox; brother, Keith Maddox; sister, Rosemary Trifiletti; son, Rusty Maddox, and nephew, Ricky Maddox.

Survivors include his daughter, Kathy Wolfe (Mike) of Nashville, TN; brother-in-law, Robert Trifiletti; several nieces and nephews, and long-time personal friend; primary caregiver, Debbie Stewart and many other extended family members and friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 26, 2023, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home followed by a graveside service at 11:30 AM, at Graham Memorial Church of Nazarene Cemetery. Rev. Kevin Tanner will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Brewton Baptist Church.
