Carl Irvin Allen, age 85, of East Dublin, passed away peacefully, on Friday, May 20, 2016 surrounded by his loving family.

Services will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday, May 22, 2016 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Dublin Memorial Gardens. Mr. Jack Jones will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Tom Allen, David Allen, Quint Jones, Darren Jones, Dennis Owens and Scott Williams.

Mr. Allen lived in Laurens County most of his life. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and retired from Sizemore Security. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Mr. Allen was preceded in death by his parents; Carl and Mary Dean Allen; wife, Elizabeth Harrell Allen and brother, C.D. Allen.

He is survived by his son, Danny Allen (Juan) of East Dublin; granddaughters, Amanda Bass (Scott) and Karla Allen, both of East Dublin; great-granddaughters Dori Bass and Cassie Bass, both of East Dublin; sister, Frances Jones (Jack) of Dublin and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
