Services for Carol NeSmith Nelson, age 65 of Dublin, will be held at 2:00PM on Friday, January 11, 2013 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Tommy Pulliam will officiate. Mrs. Nelson was of the Baptist faith. She was a retired banquet manager at the Dublin County Club. She was also employed as a soft lines manager at K-mart. She was preceded in death by her father, James Lent NeSmith and brother, Horace NeSmith. Mrs. Nelson passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2013. She is survived by her husband, Tommy L. Nelson of Dublin; children, Bonny (Tommy) LeRoy, Tony Nelson, Tina Mae Barfield and Tammy Michelle Powell, all of Dublin; six grandsons, Brook Browning, Blake (Lindsay) Browning, Jordan Powell, Thomas LeRoy, Trent LeRoy and Charlie Barfield, all of Dublin; two granddaughters, Anna Mae Couey and Ericka Caroline Powell, both of Dublin; brother, Larry NeSmith of Dublin; two sisters-in-law, Frances NeSmith and Kennetha NeSmith, both of Dublin and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Pallbearers will be Tommy LeRoy, Thomas LeRoy, Brook Browning, Blake Browning, Chad Barfield, Eric Powell, Chris Braddock and Chris Meacham. Honorary pallbearers will be Stan Sumner, Sandy Souza, Eddie Morgan, Mitch Warnock, Milton NeSmith, Little Horace NeSmith and Fran NeSmith Fordham. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.
