Services for Carol Rowell, age 70 of Dublin, will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, November 30, 2013 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. A private family interment will be held at a later date. Dr. Joel Dent will officiate. She passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2013. Mrs. Rowell was the daughter of the late Frazier and Sarah Luttrell Bailey. She was employed as the office manager for over 25 years at Durden-Kornegay, Century 21. She enjoyed riding motorcycles and loved the beach, mountains and animals. She is survived by her husband, Roger C. Rowell; daughter, Sandra G. Weyer of Orlando, FL; son, Steven E. Rowell of Dublin; grandsons, Christopher D. Weyer of Atlanta and Daniel C. Weyer of Orlando; brothers-in-law, John Rowell, Jr. and William Rowell, both of Dublin and George Rowell of Orlando; sister-in-law, Shirley Westbury of Dublin and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Laurens Country Humane Society, 618 Firetower Road, Dublin, GA 31021.
