Our beloved mother, Carolyn Dixon Linder went home to be with the Lord on April 25, 2012. Born April 19, 1933 in Dublin, GA and was the daughter of the late Wilma Pierce Dixon and Wendell Lee Dixon. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Starkville, MS. Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband William Wiley Linder, and was a devoted wife and mother. She is survived by her son David William Linder of Houston, TX; daughter Sara Jane Linder of Columbus, MS., sister June Moore and husband Hugh Moore; brother Lee Dixon and wife Rhonda Dixon all of Dublin, GA. Carolyn was also blessed to have two lovely grandchildren Faith Miley and Hope Miley both of Columbus, MS. Additionally, life blessed here with two nieces' Wendy Moore Leverette and Christina Dixon as well as two nephews Matthew Dixon and Daniel Dixon. Carolyn loved the outdoors and especially her gardens she kept at her home in Starkville, MS. She was well known for her smile and her kind spirit towards everyone she came to know. Graveside service will be held Saturday April 28, 2012, 2:30pm at Dublin Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2:00 -2:30pm, at the cemetery.
