Obituary

Services for Catherine Lake Thomas, age 95 of East Dublin, will be held at 3:30PM on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at the First Independent Methodist Church. Burial will be private in Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Paul Brown, Rev. Derek Faircloth and Bro. Chase Brown will officiate. Mrs. Thomas was a homemaker and a member of the First Independent Methodist Church. She was the last living charter member of the Gideon's International Auxiliary, Dublin Camp. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Lewis Lake and Annie Pearl Johnson Lake; husband, Jim Zenus Thomas and siblings, Earl Lake, Elizabeth Lake Kight, Hershel Lake and Charles Lake. Mrs. Thomas passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2013. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law; Zenus and Brenda Thomas of Dublin and Lewis Thomas of East Dublin; daughters and sons-in-law; Celia T. and Claude Vines of Dublin and Delores T. and Jimmy Stinson of East Dublin; her grandchildren and their spouses, Cathy T. and Ricky Scott of Watkinsville, Renea T. and Danny Woodard of Loganville, Beth T. and Paul Brown of Dublin, Susannah Thomas of East Dublin, Chris and Cristine Vines of Alpharetta, Gina V. Ware of Dublin, Greg and Michelle Vines of Dublin, Beverly S. and Rick Faircloth of Hinesville, Julie S. and Todd Collins of Atlanta, Deidre S. and Bobby Clark of Dublin and James T. and Allison Stinson of East Dublin; 24 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Emmett Lake of East Dublin, W.L. and Helen Lake, Jr. of Dublin, Marshall and Virginia Lake of Rentz and Ethridge Lake of East Dublin; sisters, Martha Buchanan of Newnan and Pamelia Adams of Tyrone and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Ricky Scott, Danny Woodard, Chris Vines, Greg Vines, Rick Faircloth, Todd Collins, Bobby Clark and James Stinson. Honorary pallbearers will be the FIMC Catherine Thomas Sunday School Class and members of the Gideon's International. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 from 5:00PM until 7:00PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.
