Mr. Charles L. Schell died, Friday, October 24, 2014. Graveside services will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Schell was the son of Jefferson "Frank" Schell and Mayme Smith Schell. He was a US Navy Veteran of World War II. Mr. Schell was a retired US Government employee with service as Salary and Wage Administrator and Personnel Officer and Labor Relations Advisor to Hq. I group, 2nd and 7th Divisions and he assisted in establishing a salary and wage system for non-appropriated fund employees at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. Mr. Schell was cited by the Korean government for promoting harmonious relationships between the Republic of Korea and the United States. He was also honored by the Foreign Organizations Employee's Union. Mr. Schell was married to a former citizen of Korea, Mrs. Yong Cha "Judy" Kim Schell. He is survived by his wife Judy, two sons, Eric and Cory, two daughters, Judy and Joy Kibler, one brother, J. Frederick Schell, son in law, Van Penny. The family will receive friends at the family home, Friday from 7:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Townsend Brothers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
