Obituary

Charles Stinson, age 71, of Hazlehurst, died November 20, 2012 in Coliseum Medical Center in Macon. Mr. Stinson was born August 4, 1941 in Laurens County to the late Clarence Lee Stinson and the late Opal Gussie Manning Stinson. He was a graduate of The University of Georgia where he was a member of the Redcoat Marching Band. He was retired from Thompson Hardwood, member of the Masonic Lodge, and an avid Hunter and Fisherman. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Fay Stinson of Hazlehurst; Daughters, Sonja (Michael) Crawley of Conyers, Paula Daughdrill of Macon and Natalie (Corey) Cason of Huntsville, AL.; Sisters, Jimmie (Charles) Haywood of Dublin and Faye (Hawley) McCullars of Dublin; Four Grandchildren and several other relatives. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6-8pm at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home and one hour prior to service Friday at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Friday, November 23, 2012 at 2:30pm at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home with Dr. Pete Sharber officiating. Interment will follow in Northview Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home of Hazlehurst and Townsend Brothers Funeral Home of Dublin.
