Services for Charles "Chuck" Westover, age 84, of Dublin, will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, May 4, 2013, in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will be private. Rev. Robert Rogers will officiate. Mr. Westover died Thursday, May 2, 2013. Mr. Westover was the son of the late Martin Chester Westover and the late Gertrude McGuinnis Westover. He served in the U. S. Marine Corps and was a Baptist by faith. Mr. Westover moved to Dublin approximately sixty years ago and worked at the Carl Vinson V. A. Medical Center until his retirement. In addition to his parents, Mr. Westover was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Radney Bush Westover. Survivors include his children, William (Kathy) Westover of Acworth, and Marie Westover of Dublin; granddaughter, Carla Westover of Gastonia, NC; great-grandson, Milton Chicas III; step-daughters, Sharon (Patrick) Neville of Dublin, and Jan McCord of Conyers; step-grandchildren, Kevin (Kim) Thomas, Derick (Julie) Thomas, Brian (Ericka) Thomas, and Colin McCord; and seven step-great-grandchildren. Kevin Thomas, Derick Thomas, Brian Thomas, Jim Hampton, Butch Hampton, and Randy Hampton will serve as pallbearers.
