Obituary

Warren "Chris" Bryant, age 51, of Rentz, passed away on May 3, 2021.

Born in Laurens County, Chris was a family man and loved his family and extended family deeply. He was always there for anyone that needed to talk. Chris never thought twice about saying "I love you". He served 4 years in the United States Army in the 82 nd Airborne Unit Infantry and is credited for over 35 jumps as a paratrooper. Chris was known for helping people and he even used his last effort and gave his life trying to look out for someone. He was also an avid Alabama fan, "Roll Tide"!

He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Mixson; step-father, Harold Mixson; brother, Kelby Bryant, and sister, Nancy Williams.

Survivors include his wife, Lisa Bryant, of Rentz; son, Spencer Heath; daughters, Macy Whiting (Joe), Hailey Bryant, and Courtney Bryant; father, Warren Bryant (Christine); brothers, Stacey Mixson (Misty), and James Williams (Crystal), Billy Alligood (Jodi), and Chip Nowling; sisters, Pam Morgan (David), Patricia McGirt, Lisa Barwick, and Tammy Helms (Brian); grandchildren,  Madaline Whiting, Brantley Heath, Evangelyne Whiting, and Scarlett Whiting, and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held for Mr. Bryant on Saturday, May 8, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Bethesda Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Robbie Passmore will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1:00 PM until service hour at the church.

Pallbearers will be Patrick Gaddie, Tyler Mimbs, Darrin Lyles, Bryce Moore, Kevin Lyles, and Cameron Barnes.
