Services for Clara Eline Walker Gay, age 82, of Dublin will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, August 21, 2011 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Northview Cemetery. Rev. Jim Sowden and Rev. Billy Todd will officiate. Mrs. Gay was born to the late Oscar I. Walker and the late Julia Tanner Walker. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church and was retired from J.P. Stevens. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; Kelton Donald Gay, Sr.; two sons, Dana Allan and Ron Gay; daughter, Cheryl Veronica; grandson, Andy Gay; and two sisters, Pauline Tipton and Mazie Byrom. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Mrs. Gay passed away on August 17, 2011 at Serenity Place. She is survived by her three daughters, Debra (Louie) Mullis and Brenda Gay, both of Dublin and Karen (Wayne) Wickstrom of Vidalia; son, Don (Pam) Gay of Dublin; twelve grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Hazel Toler and Jean (Jeff) Evans both of Dublin. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Lee Evans, Douglas Covington, Josh Gay, Tyler Gay, Adam Gay and Matt Mullis.
