Services for Claud "Pete" Walker, age 62, of Cadwell, will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at Cadwell Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Snow Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Glynn Cranford and Rev. Jason Williams will officiate. He passed away on Wednesday, August 29, 2012. Mr. Walker was a self-employed mechanic and a member of Cadwell Baptist Church. He was the son of the late Claud Franklin Walker and the late Mary Daisy Grizzell Walker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Blenda Joyce Spivey Walker. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Pete A. (Shannon) Walker; daughter and son-in-law, Wenona (Alan) Todd; granddaughter, Paige McKinzie; grandsons, Jonathan Walker, AJ Todd, Kalab Todd and Jesse Todd; great-granddaughter, Jaden McKinzie; great-grandson, Tristan Todd; sisters and brothers-in-law, Corliss Walker Warren, Elizabeth Walker (Dean) Davis, Carolyn Walker (Wayne) Carver and Frankie Walker (Roy) Jackson; brother and sister-in-law, Rickey (Jackie) Walker; several nieces and nephews and special friend, Bobbie Thomas. Pallbearers will be Andy Smith, Roy Jackson, Val Smith, Bob Stuckey, Dan Childers and Wayne Carver. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.
