Mr. Clayton Eugene Childers, age 75, passed away Monday, July 4, 2022 at Fairview Park Hospital.

Mr. Childers was born October 3, 1946 in Dublin, Georgia; he was preceded in death by his parents, the late Dan Roscoe Childers and Annie Laura Etheridge Childers; his son, Scott Michael Childers and a daughter, Laura Nicole Childers. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War having served with the United States Army. He retired as an accountant with the Defense Commissary Agency.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Myra F. Childers; his daughter, Sherrie Taylor; two grandchildren, J.J. Childers and Nick Childers; a great-grandson, Levi Scott Childers; three brothers, Dan Childers, Jr., Roscoe Childers and Jerry Childers; a daughter-in-law, Tracey Childers and a son-in-law, Chuck Taylor.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, July 8, 2022 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home with burial to follow at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Ken Rodgers and Mr. Dan Childers will officiate.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be Jason Manning, Nick Childers, J.J. Childers, Kevin Childers, Denny Childers and Chaz Wilhouse.
