Mrs. Clovis W. Rowland, age 90, passed away Friday, December 10, 2021.

Mrs. Rowland was born February 11, 1931 in Laurens County; she was preceded in death by her parents, the late Carlton Judson Watson, Sr. and Nannie Morris Watson and her husband of 59 years, B.W. Rowland, Jr., a daughter, Juan Lowery; sisters, Frances Barfield, Ruth Vass and four brothers, Judson Watson, Jr., Edsel Watson, Lee Fred Watson and Lynn Watson. She was a lifelong member of Shady Grove Baptist Church in the Brewton Community. She and her husband served several capacities in the church.

She loved being a mother and grandmother to her extended family.

She is survived by her son, Michael Glen Rowland and daughter-in-law, Kim; her grandchildren, Lisa Griffin, Andy (Star) Lowery, Matthew Lowery and Joshua Brantley; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Iris Frost, Grace Lord and Linda Garmany; a brother, Ray Watson and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, December 13, 2021 at Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Kelly Maddox officiating.
