Services for Daniel Lewis Mayo, age 67 of East Dublin, will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, March 29, 2014 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Kelly Maddox will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1:00PM until funeral hour on Saturday. Mr. Mayo retired from the Henry Co. Water Authority. He was a long time member of the Lee Jessup Band, the Mayo Bro. Band and the Tussahaw Band. He enjoyed golf and playing music. Mr. Mayo was preceded in death by his father, Rev. Marion Lewis Mayo; mother, Dorothy Boyd Mayo and brother, Randall Dallas Mayo. He passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2014. Survivors include his wife, Joan C. Mayo of East Dublin; sons, Todd Mayo of Auburn, AL and Robin Mayo of Opelika, AL; step-sons, Jim Wilkes and Mike and Lisa Wilkes, both of East Dublin; daughter-in-law, Teresa Anderson of Auburn, AL; grandsons, Dallas Mayo and Daniel Anderson of Auburn, AL and Dayton Wilkes of East Dublin; granddaughter, Allison Mayo of Auburn, AL; sister, Tamara West of Newnan; brother, Gary (Donna) Mayo of McDonough and Chad Mayo of Newnan and several nieces and nephews. Donnie Screws, Lee Jessup, Gary Mayo, Jr., Dallas Mayo, Daniel Anderson, and Dayton Wilkes will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be, Freddie Cullens, Hal Bowden, Tim Gardiner, Mike Pritchard and David Whitson.
