Danny Cook, 66, of Dudley, passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2017. Mr. Cook was born in Laurens County to the late William Frederick and Nell Lord Cook. He grew up in Montrose, GA and was a 1968 graduate of Dublin High School. He served in the United States Army Reserves and was a member of Dudley United Methodist Church and the Laurens County Cattlemen's Association. He was a former board member of the Laurens County Farm Bureau. Danny was president of Farmers Best Fertilizer, Inc. and was very loyal and appreciative to the customers he served. He was known by everyone for his strong work ethic and being a man of great character and faith. Danny was proud of instilling those values in his children. His family was his greatest joy, and he enjoyed camping trips with friends and coaching his grandchildren from the sidelines of their sporting events. Danny also had a passion for farming and working his land. In addition to his parents, Mr. Cook was preceded in death by his grandson, Daniel Tyler Cook and father-in-law, Doyle Lindsey. Survivors include his wife, Judy Lindsey Cook, of Dudley; sons, William Robert Cook (Laura), of Dudley, Daniel Ryan Cook (Kim), of Dublin, and Jonathan Richard Cook, of Savannah; brothers, Bill Cook (Regina), Freddy Cook (Sherry), Andy Cook (Jo), all of Montrose and Chris Cook (Wendy), of Dudley; grandchildren, Camille Cook, Riley Cook, Bailey Cook, and Anderson Cook; mother-in-law, Marjorie Lindsey, of Dublin; nephews, Peyton Cook, Jeff Cook, Brad Cook, and Randy Cook; nieces, Paige Cook, Kayce Morris, Kelly Cannon, and Suzie Cook. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 from 5:00PM until 8:00PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, May 17th, at Dudley Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Freddie Smith and Rev. Ed Ellington will officiate. Pallbearers will be Albin Watson, Ronnie Nobles, Mike Couey, Dee Cullen, Bill Cook, Freddy Cook, Chris Cook, and Andy Cook.
