Services for Danny Dawson, age 63, of Scott, will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, August, 17, 2015, at Gethsemane United Methodist Church, Burial will follow at Dublin Memorial Gardens. U. S. Army Chaplin Michael Dawson, Rev. Judd Drake, and Rev. Tommy Veal will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 10:00 AM. Mr. Dawson died Friday, August 14, 2015. Mr. Dawson, born in Griffin, grew up and lived most of his life in Barnesville. He has been a resident of the Dublin area for a number of years and worked as a sawyer with Woody Lumber Company. Mr. Dawson was a member of Gethsemane United Methodist Church. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Mr. Dawson was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Mary Gladys Bunn Dawson; father-in-law, James G. Davis; and uncle, Clyde Dawson. Survivors include his wife, Debbie Dawson, of Scott; children, Michael Bryan (Laura) Dawson, of Columbia, SC, Danny Greg Dawson, of Macon, Kelly (Jason) Crutchfield, of Milledgeville, Jonathan Zachary Dawson, of Scott; brother, Larry (Cathy) Dawson, of Yatesville; grandchildren, Victoria Dawson, Jamie Dawson, Robert Boyt, William Dawson, Dazey Boyt, Blake Crutchfield, Abigail Crutchfield, mother-in-law, Nellie Davis, of East Dublin; brothers-in-law, Richard Jackson (Sharon) Crabb, Sr., of Macon, Jerry Davis, of Dublin, Herman Clifford Crabb, of Dublin; sisters-in-law, Dawn C. (Fred) Wood, of East Dublin, Kathy (Rick) Butts, of Travelers Rest, SC, Lelia D. (Johnny) Holmes, of Milledgeville; numerous nieces and nephews.
