Services for Darryl Webster Preston, age 63, of Dublin, will be held on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Dublin Bible Church. Pastor Chad Zueck and Dr. Reece Lester will officiate. Mr. Preston passed away on Friday, September 14, 2012. Mr. Preston was born in Louisville, KY. He was the co-owner of Lakeston, Inc. for 9 years and was retired from Forstmann & Company. He was a member of Dublin Bible Church and a teacher of the Children's Sunday School Class. Mr. Preston was formerly a member of the Jaycee's Club and the Exchange Club. He graduated from Waynesboro High School in Virginia; Danville Community College in Virginia; North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC; the Institute of Textile Technology in Charlottesville, VA; and the Heart of Georgia Technical College in Dublin. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was preceded in death by his best friend, Macky McAfee. He is survived by his wife, Bonita "Bo" Radford Preston of Dublin; children, Shane (Ashley), Keith (Brianna) Preston, and Suzanne (Matt) Lake, all of Dublin; parents, Sammie M. Preston and Betty Jean Powers Preston of Dublin; ten grandchildren, Kennedy Rae Preston, Kayleigh Beth Lake, Caden Preston, Levi Preston, Bennett Lake, Alec Preston, Dash Preston, Keaton Lake, Anna Hazel Preston, and Bowan Lake, all of Dublin; brother, David Ray Preston of Dublin; and extended family, Debbie McAfee, Kelly McAfee, and Kristi Timmons. Alvin Moorman, Mike Sanders, Tom Nickerson, Marshall McDuffie, Bravis Runyon, and Jason Kirby will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Dublin Bible Church Children's Program, 427 Airport Road, Dublin, Ga. 31021. The family will receive friends on Monday, September 17 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Dublin Bible Church. Townsend Brothers Funeral Home in Dublin has charge of arrangements.
