Graveside services for Dawn Davis Hammond, age 36, of Dublin, will be held 10:00 AM on Wednesday, June 20, 2012, at Dominy Cemetery. Daniel Folds will officiate. Mrs. Hammond died Friday, June 15, 2012. Mrs. Hammond was born in Dawson, Georgia. She has been a resident of Dublin for the past fourteen years. Mrs. Hammond was preceded in death by her husband, John Hammond; maternal grandparents, Cleo and Sarah Couey and paternal grandparents, James A. and Christine Davis, Jr. Survivors include her father, James B. Davis, Sr. of Dawson; mother Melinda C. Dulmage, of Dublin; stepmother, Betsy Davis, of Dawson; brothers, James B. Davis, Jr., of Leesburg; Mark E. Davis, of Dawson, and Duane C. Davis, of Albany; nephews and nieces, Coleman Davis and Lizzie Davis, both of Leesburg, Stephen Davis, and Raymond Davis, both of Sarasota, FL, Alyssah Stroud, of Sylvester; and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. . Michael Couey, Timmy Smith, Mitch Smith, Brock Ward, Lance Ward, Christopher Roberts, and Rod Ellis will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.
