Services for Deborah Murkerson Fountain, age 55 of Rentz, will be held at 2:00PM on Friday, April 11, 2014 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Rentz Cemetery. Bishop Harrison Jones will officiate. Mrs. Fountain was born in Laurens County and attended Rentz Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Edward "Nooks" Murkerson and the late Lydia Seretha Wood Murkerson. She was preceded in death by her sister, Jean Murkerson, and her brother, William Murkerson. Deborah passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at Serenity Place. Survivors include her husband, Charles A. Fountain of Rentz; sons, Brandon Michael Fountain (Martha) and Stephen Tyler Fountain, both of Rentz; grandsons, Adam E. Florence, Preston D. Fountain and Rylan Jake Fountain; granddaughters, Madison R. Fountain and Kayleigh N. Fountain; sisters, Ann M. Avant and Leisa M. Owens, both of Dublin, Sue M. Huntley of Woodstock and Judy Murkerson-Segura of Cartersville, numerous nieces and nephews, and a special cousin, Rhetta M. Fifer. Pallbearers will be Rodney Rea, Tony Segura, Jacob Segura, Dave Fifer, Caleb Owens, Dennis Owens, Craig Haywood, and Shaun Browning. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.
