Delaina Evans Melton, age 57, of East Dublin, passed away on Friday, November 27, 2020.
Delaina was born in Laurens County on September 30, 1963, to the late C. Wayne and Genelle Woodard Evans. She was a 1981 Graduate of East Laurens High School. She was a member of Minter Baptist Church, but currently attended Boiling Springs United Methodist Church. Delaina loved fishing, horses, and spending time outdoors. She enjoyed days spent camping with her "Honey" and their family and friends, as well as time spent with all her furry pet companions. Delaina's greatest joy was in being a dedicated and loving mother and "Meme". She was full of life and will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Christian Kye Warren, of Chester.
Survivors include her loving fiancé, Neal Harden, of East Dublin; daughter, Jessi Warren (John), of Chester; son, Evan (Sydney) Melton, of Rockledge; sisters, Trish (Jeff) Smith, of Rockledge and Shirley (Herbert) Pinion, of East Dublin; grandchildren, Gracie Lee Melton, Chevelle Kaytlyn Warren, and Aaron Wayne Melton; niece, Kristen L. Smith, of Rockledge; great-nephew, Wesson Lane Hattaway, of Rockledge; step-children, Ross Harden, of Warner Robins, and Robbie Harden, of Dublin, and Heather (Jaime) Bailey, of Lovett; step-grandchildren, Gavin Harden, Emma Bailey, Rylan Harden, Brennan Harden, Ella Bailey, Mitchell Harden, Tristan Harden, and McKay Harden; and father of their children, Gregory Melton, of Dublin.
Graveside services will be held on Sunday, November 29, 2020, at 3:30 PM in the Minter Cemetery. Rev. Johnny Baggett and Rev. Lynn Woodard will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Andrew Webb, Ross Harden, Robbie Harden, Thomas Brooks, Brian Smith, and Timmy Ricks.
Townsend Brothers Funeral Home and Staff respectfully ask all in attendance to follow social distancing guidelines .
