Services for Della Ruth Parr, age 74, of Cadwell will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 24, 2012, at Cadwell Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Pastor Al Haywood will officiate. The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until the service time at the church. Mrs. Parr was born in Lyons to the late Jewell Williams and the late Gladys Reese Williams. She was a homemaker and a member of Cadwell Baptist Church, where she served as a Sunday School teacher of the Matron's Class. Mrs. Parr died Wednesday, March 21, 2012. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Chambers; brothers, J.C. Williams and Willie Williams; and sister Pearl Scott. Survivors include her husband, Edwin Parr, of Cadwell; children, Sharon Parr Shiver, of Hartford, AL, Lorene Parr Daum, of Willow Springs, MO, Carolyn Parr Platt, of Dublin, Robert Parr, of Cadwell; grandchildren, Travis Vance, Todd Jason Parr, Bambi Nemith, Randy Tate, Tim Phillips, Mandy Grindstaff, Rachel Platt, Mindy Platt, Kyler Parr; siblings, Hattie Mae James, Steve Williams, Lillian Thigpen, Seaborn Williams, Bobbie Lou Robinson; several nieces and nephews; and eight great grandchildren. Edward Colter, Kennon Smith, Bob Stuckey, Bill Rowe, Lorene Daum, Jonathan Rowe, and David Rowe will serve as pallbearers.
