Services for Dennis D. Davis, age 59, of Dublin, will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, February 21, 2015, in the chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Don Hicks will officiate. The family will receive friends Saturday from 9:00 AM until the funeral hour at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Mr. Davis died Wednesday, February 18, 2015. Mr. Davis was a veteran of the U. S. Army and a former law enforcement officer and investigator of twenty years. He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Duane Davis. Survivors include his wife, Carol J. Davis, of Valdosta; sons, Benjie (Nichole) Davis, of Dexter, Jeromy (Maria) Davis, of Augusta; mother, Emily Davis Hall, of Dublin; sister, Gwen Davis, of Washington D. C.; brothers, Andy (Robin) Davis, of Lakeland, FL, Greg Davis, of Dublin, Mark (Charlene) Davis, of Columbia, SC; grandchildren, Chance Davis, Madison Davis, Kayla Davis; and several nieces and nephews. Don Thompson, Frank Safalle, Steve Price, Dave Price, Charles Haywood, Larry Haywood, Danny Haywood, Phil Haywood, Ken Davidson, Darren Horne, John David Ashley, Jimmy Price, and Barry Price will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dennis Davis Fund at the Bank of Dudley.
