Private family graveside services for Don R. Hogan, age 61, of Dexter, were held at his home. Rev. Charles Taylor and Rev. Calvin Halcomb officiated. Mr. Hogan died Tuesday, May 07, 2013.
Mr. Hogan was the son of the late George G. Hogan, Sr. and the late Winnelle Wilkinson Hogan. He was a graduate of Dexter High School and Middle Georgia College. He also attended Georgia Southern College. Mr. Hogan was a member of the Dexter Masonic Lodge # 340 F & A M and Dexter Baptist Church. He retired from law enforcement after thirty-four years of service. Mr. Hogan was also a farmer and construction worker.
Survivors include his brother, George Hogan, Jr.; sister, Carole Hogan Edenfield; niece, Kelly Edenfield of Acworth; nephews, Griff (Justine) Hogan of Macon, Brian (Simpson) Hogan of Bluebell, PA; David (Cindy) Edenfield of Augusta; special cousins Danny (Lesia) Hogan; special friends, Pamela Anderson, Kelly Toler, Kimberly Anthony; caregiver, Craig Bostic; his dog, Jack.
Honorary pallbearers will be D. W. Knight, Ronnie Skipper, Dwight Overstreet, Billy Allen, Wade Pierce, Foster Goff, Freddie Cook, Craig Bostic, and Johnny B. Hall.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Mr. Hogan to Dexter Lodge # 340 F & A M.
