Donna Browning Jones, 76, of Dudley, Georgia, passed away at her home on Saturday, July 11, 2026.
Donna was born November 1, 1949, in Dublin, Georgia, to the late Samuel Morris Browning and Marjorie Johnson Browning. She graduated from Laurens High School in 1968 and was a former employee of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution before devoting herself to her family as a homemaker. Donna loved horseback riding, playing golf, and getting lost in a good thriller, but her greatest joy was being "Nonna" to her grandbabies.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Kendall Morris Browning; her aunt and uncle, Myrtice Browning Stephens and G.O. Stephens; her uncle and aunt, Rusty and Iris Browning Bullard; her uncle, Gregory Johnson; and her grandparents, Samuel and Maggie Browning and Isaac and Mary Metters Johnson.
Donna is survived by her husband, Lewis Glenn Jones, of Dudley; her daughter, Leah Jones Patterson (Brooks), of Livingston, Montana; her son, Landon Glenn Jones (Cassie), of Dudley; and her grandchildren, Eva Elaina Patterson, Silas Everett Patterson, Talulah Esmé Patterson, and Ari Elliott Patterson, all of Livingston, Montana, and Lucas Glenn Jones and Johnny James Bennett, both of Dudley; and her cousins Nora Kay Medders (Vikki Allday).
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Cadwell, with Alec Kuck officiating.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Bennett, Christopher Howard, Caleb Howard, Will Smalley, Nathan Mullis, and Garrett Mathis.
