Graveside services for Doris Louise Alligood age, 90, of East Dublin, will be held on Friday, October 28, 2011 at 3PM in Alligood Family Cemetery. Burial will follow in Alligood Family Cemetery. Rev. Bobby Hutto will officiate. Mrs. Alligood was the daughter of the late William Robert Devaney and the late Ruth Devaney. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Billy Earl Alligood, two sons, James and Gerald Mullis, brothers, George and Clyde Devaney, and a sister, Mary Ellen Newsome. She was a lifelong resident of Laurens County. She is survived by two sons, Bernard Tanner (Joy) of Winder, GA, David Tanner of Estero, FL, daughter, Donna Copas (Richard), two granddaughters, Buffy Evans of Dublin and Leigh Tanner of Grayson, GA, two grandsons, Daniel Copas (Suzi) of East Dublin and Geoffrey Tanner of Grayson, GA, great grandson, Justin Evans of Dublin, two sisters, Barbara Woodard and Christine Holton both of Laurens County, five brothers, Earl, Charles, Allen, Aaron and Terry Devaney all of Laurens County. The family will receive friends at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home Friday from 1:00 PM until 2:30 PM.
