Doris Lee Starley, age 95, of Dublin, passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2016. Services will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, June 11, 2016 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Northview Cemetery. Rev. Kelly Maddox will officiate. The family will receive friends from 10:00AM until funeral hour at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Joel Kennedy, Jace Kennedy, Matt Starley, Justin Starley, Bill Starley and W.H. Lee. Mrs. Starley was born in Laurens County to the late William Henry and Agnes Cannon Lee. She was a housewife and retired from the State of Georgia Mental Health Office. She was a member of Olivet Baptist Church and a loving mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Prentice Starley; son, Henry "Buddy" Starley and granddaughter, Suzanne Starley. Survivors include her daughter, Judith Shipe, of Dublin; son, Gary Starley, of Dublin; grandchildren, Kimberly Shipe Kennedy (Tim), Tracy Shipe, Matt Starley, Kellie Starley Hamrick (Chris), Steve Starley, Tim Starley and Amy Starley and great-grandchildren, Joel Kennedy, Jace Kennedy and Paisley Grace Hamrick. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff of Dublinair Health Care & Rehab Center for their years of friendship and loving care.
