Services for Dorothy Hobbs Hodges, age 75, of Dublin, will be held at 12:00 Noon Tuesday, May 13, 2014 in the chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery. Dr. Lamar Holley will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 11:00 AM until the service time. Mrs. Hodges died Saturday, May 10, 2014. Mrs. Hodges, a graduate of Dexter High School, was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. She owned and operated Dexter Darling Nursery. Mrs. Hodges enjoyed attending Young at Heart meetings and gardening. She loved her Boston Terriers. Mrs. Hodges was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Mullis and Lois Alligood Mullis, her husbands, Roy Hobbs, Sr., and Chappell Hodges,her brother, Hilbert Mullis, and her step-son, David M. Hodges. Survivors include her children, Beverly Forbes, of Dublin, Roy Hobbs, Jr., of Dexter; grandchildren, Heather Hines, of Dublin, Julie (Tyler) Warren, of Eatonton, Chris (Kim) Forbes, of Dublin, Brooke Hobbs, of East Dublin, Justin Hobbs, of Dublin; step-daughters, Karen Clements, of East Dublin, Catherine Halvorson, of Macon; step-grandchildren, Kandi Maddox, of East Dublin, Chris Clements, of Abilene, TX, Brooke Brantley, of Rentz, Keith Halvorson, of Macon; sisters, Mary Garner, Helen Warren; brothers, Ralph Mullis, Herman Mullis; eleven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Chris Forbes, Tyler Warren, Toby Evans, and Todd Evans will serve as pallbearers.
