Graveside services for Dorothy Payne Mullis, age 93, of Dexter, will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, August 3, 2020, at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.  Rev. Calvin Halcomb will officiate.  Mrs. Mullis died Saturday, August 1, 2020.

Mrs. Mullis was a Secret Civil Service employee and a farmer's wife and homemaker.  She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church for several years before becoming a member of Dexter Baptist Church.  Mrs. Mullis was a Sunday School teacher and choir member. She was a dedicated Christian and loved everyone like Jesus did.  She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Mrs. Mullis was preceded in death by her parents, William Mark and Annie Horne Payne; husband, Leghmon Mullis; daughter, Joann Mullis Bailey; son Randy Marion Mullis; one sister; and four brothers.

Survivors include her children, Samuel Leghmon Mullis (Bobbie), of Kathleen, Brenda M. Alligood (John Edward), of Dexter, and Tommy Mark Mullis (Pam), of Dexter; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
