Services for Doug Veal, Jr., age 65 of Dublin, will be held at 2:00PM on Friday, May 2, 2014 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Bracewell Cemetery. Mr. Shawn Roberson will officiate. He passed away on Wednesday, April 30, 2014. Mr. Veal was born in Laurens County. He was employed with the Laurens Co. Public Works Dept. and was a Mason. He was preceded in death by his father, Douglas Louis Veal, Sr. Survivors include his son, Dustin Adam Veal (Kaylee) of Rentz; daughters, Shannon Veal of Rockledge and Amanda Barnett of SC; grandchildren, Tyler Veal, Jaxen Veal, Al Veal, Devon Veal, Alyssa Soles, Bethany Soles and Raeleigh Soles; mother, Mona Faye Veal of Dublin; sister, Patsy Carter of Dublin; brothers, Dean Veal (Monica) of Dublin and Melvin Veal (Cindy) of East Dublin and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Colby Veal, Justin Veal, Jason Mullis, Neil Harden,Kyle Register, and Blaine Oxford.
