Daniel Douglas "Doug" Stinson, Jr., age 42 of Dublin, passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2015. Services will be held at 2:00PM on Friday, April 10, 2015 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers FuneralHome. Burial will follow in Northview Cemetery. Rev. Larry Rowland and Mr. Hugh Kight will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Doug was born in Laurens County and attended West Laurens High School. He was employed with Landrum Maintenance as a supervisor and tower climber. He loved hunting, fishing, and helping coach his children in sports. Doug was preceded in death by his brother, Bennett Stinson; grandparents, Roy and Hilda Stinson; grandfather, Benny Becton; and grandmother Kathleen Becton. Survivors include his parents, Danny and Anita Stinson of Dublin; son, Tri Stinson of Dublin; daughter, Callie Stinson of East Dublin; mother of his children, Natasha Stinson of East Dublin; brother, Billy Stinson of Dublin; nephews, Dalton Stinson and Dawson Stinson of Dublin; niece, Darian Stinson of Texas and numerous other extended family and friends. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Buchanan, Don Patterson, Curtis Landrum, Terry O'Quinn, Koby Kobetitsch and Rob Davis. Honorary pallbearers will be Derek Lumley and Kirk Wynn.
