Earl Wesley Turner, Jr., age 57, of Dublin, passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Services will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, March 3, 2017 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow at 1:30PM in Uvalda at the Gibbs Family Cemetery. Pastor Sheila Woods and Rev. Monty Lasseter will officiate. His grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Mr. Turner was a member of Poplar Springs North Baptist Church. He retired from Mohawk Industries and was a lifetime member of the NRA and the Twin Oaks Gun Range. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved his family deeply. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Grace Turner, Sr.; paternal grandparents, Wesley and Ola Turner; maternal grandparents, Benny and C.J. Morris; daughter, Brandy Michelle Turner; infant brother, Samuel; infant sister, as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. Survivors include his loving wife, Jan Turner, of Dublin; daughters, Tabby Oliver (Glenn), of East Dublin, and Cindy Johns (Dell), of Rentz; son, Earl Turner III (Eric Davis), of Dublin; grandchildren, Adam Beard and Tyler Tidwell, both of Dublin, Kaleb Tidwell, of Rentz, Halen Loftin, of East Dublin, Caitlin Turner, and Tristan Turner, both of Brewton, AL, Luke Tidwell, Gabriel Tidwell, and Bryson Tidwell, all of Rentz, and Chance Oliver, of East Dublin.
