Services for Edgar Allen Cranford, age 77 of Dublin, GA will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, May 20, 2011 at Pine Forest United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Steve Patton will officiate. Mr. Cranford was a Veteran of the United States Marines and served during the Korean War. He was a graduate of Thomasville High School and North Carolina State University. Following college, he moved to Georgia and worked with McNair Seed Company as a salesman. He owned and operated Ed's Home & Farm Supply for over 20 years and was a member of Pine Forest United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Allen Cranford and Blanch Bowers Cranford and his wife, Peggy Hartsell Cranford. Mr. Cranford died Monday, May 16, 2011 at the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center. He is survived by a daughter, Tanya O. Cranford; son, Todd Cranford and a granddaughter Courtney Cranford, all of Dublin. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. They may be contacted at 704 Brookdale Drive in Dublin.
