Edna Louise Ballard, age 90, passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2017. Mrs. Ballard was born September 29, 1926 in Laurens County to the late Bunyon and Myrtle Robinson Dixon. She was a homemaker and a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Ballard; son, James E. Ballard and sisters, Ivalyn Combs and Clussie Jenkins. Survivors include her son, David Ballard (Janice), of Dudley; daughters, Pam Ballard and Barbara Ballard, both of Dublin; sister, Lillie Foster; grandchildren, John Ballard (Alicia), Beth Martin (Jason), Matt Ballard (Kelly) and Andy Ballard, all of Dudley; great grandchildren, Caroline and Wade Martin, Suzanne and Paul Ballard, and Natalie and Madison Ballard; daughter-in-law, Mary Ballard, of Dublin; sisters-in-law, Gladys Aaron (Adrian), Betty Ballard, Jeanette Thomas, Vondell Holliday (Don) and Betty Sue Fowler, and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, June 17, 2017 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Jack Brown, Rev. Billy Daws, and Mr. Robert Harrison will officiate. The family will receive friends from 10:00AM until funeral hour at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Bobby Payne, James Garrett, Earl Lord, John Ballard, Matt Ballard, Andy Ballard, and Jason Martin. The family may be contacted at the home of David and Janice Ballard.
