Graveside services for Edna Lucille Harkleroad, age 98 of Dublin, will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, November 9, 2013 in Northview Cemetery. Dr. Jack Key and Rev. Thad Haygood will officiate. Mrs. Harkleroad died Wednesday, November 6, 2013. Mrs. Harkleroad, born in Pulaski, TN, was the daughter of the late H. L. Sisk and the late Anna Lou Cardin Sisk. Mrs. Harkleroad and her husband owned and operated the Briar Patch Restaurant. She was the oldest member of First Methodist Church and a member of the Friendship Sunday School Class. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Harkleroad was preceded in death by her husband, Roy B. Harkleroad. Survivors include her children, Tom Harkleroad, of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, Don Harkleroad, of Atlanta, GA; daughter-in-law, Salina Metts Harkleroad, of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL; granddaughters, Casey Harkleroad, Kelly Harkleroad, both of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, Jill Greene, of Evansville, IN, Carrie White, Jennifer Lim, both of Atlanta, GA; and eight great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home on Saturday from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM before the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First United Methodist Church, 305 West Gaines Street, Dublin, GA 31021.
