Edward (Bunk) Brigham Fountain, age 81, East Dublin, passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2016. Services will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Bethlehem Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Matt Haywood and Pastor John Livingston will officiate. The family will receive friends from 10:00AM until funeral hour on Thursday at the church. Mr. Fountain's nephews; David Wilkes, Stan Wilkes, Jason Fountain, Chris Bracewell, Josh Williams, Jamie Fountain, Jonathan Fountain, Bobby Fountain, and Larry Shepard, will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the F.A. Josey Sunday School Class, Tommy Scarboro, Lee Brantley, and Billy Brantley. Mr. Fountain was born on September 18, 1935 in Dublin, GA, to the late Edward Claxton Fountain and the late Beatrice Pridgen Fountain. He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and the F.A. Josey Sunday School Class. He retired from the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority, and worked many years as a bus driver with the Laurens County School System. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Tommy P. Fountain, and grandparents, Jim and Hattie Thomas Fountain, and E.W. and Annie Cobb Pridgen. Survivors include his wife, Georgilina Fountain, of East Dublin; son, Allen (Karen) Fountain, of Manassas, VA; daughter, Teresa F. (Ron) Sandlin, of Farmville, VA; step-sons, Noel (May) Consulta and Jonathan Consulta, of East Dublin; step-daughter, Rubelyn Bustamante, of Adrian; sisters, Patricia F. Wilkes, of East Dublin and Barbara Jean F. Garnto, of Scott; brother, Ricky C.(Theresa) Fountain, of Jasper; sister in law; Elaine M.Fountain of East Dublin, granddaughters, Jennifer Sandlin, of Farmville, VA and Katie Fountain, of Manassas, VA; step-grandchildren, Erin Flor Consulta, of the Philippines, Laken Lumpkin, of Adrian, and Candy Brantley, of East Dublin, and several nieces and nephews.
